It’s that time again! This week’s question is:
If you could read only one book over and over again, what would it be and why?
Oh, man. That’s a toughy. I’m going to throw something completely random out there and say Swan Song by Robert R. McCammon. I loved this book when I was a kid, though it’s definitely not for kids. It completely blew my mind since I’d never read anything like it before. It kind of explains my love for The Hunger Games since they both have similar themes. When I finished Swan Song, I was depressed for days. I cried. I moped. That’s a sign of a great book.
How about you? What book would you read over and over again?
I had to look this book up. Books have left me depressed, crying and moping, but I couldn’t imagine returning to them. I love the differences from one reader to the next.
Sounds interesting! I had to check out the description on GR but it definitely falls in line with books like THG so I can see why you love both ๐ I loved THG so perhaps I need to check out this one too!
I guess it counts, watching the movie The Notebook.
I hadn’t heard of this book before. I don’t know how I’ll react to it, or was it because you were so young?
Thanks for stopping by my blog

Robyn – I think it was the fact that I finished something that touched me on a deeper level than anything I’d ever read before. The story actually ended with tons of hope.
Michelle – I highly recommend it!
Rivieb – I think a huge part of my enjoyment of this book was that I was so young. I think I was maybe 11 or 12 when I read it, and I’d never read anything like it before!
I hadn’t heard of this before but it sounds really good! I agree that books that make you feel a whole variety of emotions are the most powerful. You comparing this to the Hunger Games definitely makes me interested in reading it! Thanks for joining up this week!
What book? Does my own writing count? O:) I guess not.
It should be easy. I wanted to scream the ‘Harry Potter’ series at the top of my lungs. But then I realized that I would actually read ‘Gone with the Wind’ over and over and over… read it 3 times so far ๐
Alise – the most powerful books are usually the most memorable ones, too. I even remember the books I hated!
Steph – I’ve never read Gone with the Wind. *hangs head in shame* But Harry Potter! Yes! I’ve read the series multiple times.
